Preparing for Faithful Stewardship

Do you know someone who has lots of love? Would you like lots of love too? Next Sunday in church and Bible study, we will learn to prepare our hearts to love the way God loves. We’ll read in Luke 7:36-37 about someone who had lots of love. Join us next week, the second Sunday of our stewardship emphasis, Preparation of the Heart: Lots of Love.

Thanksgiving Eve service will be held on Wednesday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. Advent Services will start on Wednesday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. We are looking for groups and/or individuals to host the “Simple Supper” on December 19 at 6:00 p.m.

Through you contributions to the mission fund at Grace, we reach out and support different missions locally, nationally, and international. Niagara Area Habitat for Humanity is the special mission for the month of November.

Harvest Food Collection: A table is available in the narthex to receive donations of boxed and canned foods. We will deliver your donations to the Community Mission and the LaSalle Food Pantry after Thanksgiving. We will again accept donations of frozen TURKEYS which can be stored in the downstairs freezer. Let an usher know if you need help.

What We Learned in Sunday School Today… Today in Sunday School, the children learned about how God saved the Hebrews by parting the waters of the Red Sea and how God saves us through the washing of water in Holy Baptism. Exodus 13:17–15:21. Ask your children to tell you what they know about this story. Talk about how God fights for us and saves us from sin, death, and the devil. Talk about Baptism and how water combined with God’s Word washes you clean from sin and gives you eternal life.
