Grace Lutheran Church

Grace Lutheran Church 7pm-8pm on February 10 will begin a class called Grace 101: Discover God’s Amazing Plan For You. This class is meant for anyone interested in membership at Grace Lutheran Church and for anyone that wants to get back to the basics of faith.

 Identify! Pray! Invite! Mentor!

There are many things we can do to share Jesus with people who are so precious to the Lord. Here are four suggestions.

1. Identify! Jot down the names of three people who either do not know the Lord or who need to know him better.

2. Pray! Pray for the people that you have just written down. Pray that the Holy Spirit would work on their lives and open their hearts and minds to seek to discover God’s amazing plan for their lives.

3. Invite! Briefly tell each of these people what Jesus means to you in your own words. Invite to the new class starting at Grace Lutheran Church called Grace 101. Encourage them with the fact that this will be a study of the basics of Christianity right from the Bible. The class is free, the discussion will be open, and all questions are welcome.

4. Mentor! Tell them, “I want to personally bring you to the first session on February 10. I’ll pick you up and bring you home afterward. If you like the class, come back; if not—don’t.” I have learned that you really have to ask people to attend and then lovingly nudge them along. People will join a church because of the content of the faith believed and also because of the sense of community.

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20). I look forward to seeing you February 10 with the people you are bringing!
