Midweek Advent Services begin on Wednesday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m. with a Simple Supper at 6:00 p.m. The Elders are hosting the first supper. The last two Wednesday Simple Suppers will be “Potluck.” Bring a dish to pass and join us!
YOUTH AND THEIR FRIENDS in grades 6-12 are invited to a Christmas decorating Lock-In this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. Sunday. We will put up the Christmas trees in the sanctuary and decorate. Also planned is cookie baking. If you have a rolling pin, bring it along.
Our MITTEN TREE has been set up in the narthex to receive your donations of sweat pants and shirts, mittens, gloves, scarves, and hats. All sizes are needed. We will continue to collect these items through Christmas. After the holidays, they will be delivered to local schools and community service agencies to be distributed in our own community. Please remember this project as you do your Christmas shopping. Your help is needed to make this a success again this year.
Did you know that you can have your offerings deducted from your account? It’s safe, easy and convenient. The program is called Joyful Response. Enrollment forms can be found in the chapel and the narthex, or see Jon Lehning for more information.
What We Learned in Sunday School Today… Sunday School students studied the story of David and Jonathan today. Just as David’s and Jonathan’s brotherly love for each other reflected the love of God within their hearts, so, too, our love for others is the reflection of God’s love given to us through Christ. Parents could ask, “How did David and Jonathan demonstrate their love and care for each other? How does God demonstrate His love and care for us?”
