Announcements for the week of April 5, 2009
April 3rd, 2009 Posted in UncategorizedWe are looking for donations of baked goods, ie, danish, muffins etc. for the Easter Fellowship Breakfast. Thanks!
The Youth Group thanks everyone that participated in the Pampered Chef fundraiser last Sunday for a great turnout and successful event.
Grace Youth & Friends, including Adults: We are participating in the Annual Beautify Niagara, sponsored by the Niagara Beautification Commission. It is being held Saturday, April 25, beginning with breakfast at 8 am then clean up at 9 am. We will be cleaning in our church neighborhood as in the past. After clean-up we are invited to join in the picnic at Hyde Park at 12:30 p.m. If you are interested in joining, please see Pam Simcox to sign up, give your t-shirt size, and let her know if you are interested in breakfast and/or picnic. Also take an informational paper from the glass book case in the narthex.
Our Penny War is in high gear and has already surpassed our goal! Thank you so much for your continued support. Pennies earn them points, and they can put silver coins in other class banks to take away points. The winning class receives a reward. The total collected will be used for a mission project through Lutheran World Relief. Adults wishing to participate may do so by giving change to a Sunday School student, or placing change in containers available in the chapel and narthex.
The 9:00 a.m. Sunday Adult Bible class is discussing “Great Chapters in the Bible!” There is room for YOU! Come!
If you know of a fellow member who is hospitalized, has changed their phone number or address… please phone the church office immediately. Thanks!
Many MAIL BOXES in the assembly room are full. Please check the names and take the mail and offering envelope boxes to anyone whose name you know. Thanks! Please help us all help them. Today!
What We Learned in Sunday School Today… On this Passion Sunday, the Sunday School lesson studies “Peter Denies Jesus.” Though we, like Peter, deny Jesus and His gifts, Jesus cannot deny us, because we are part of Him, baptized members of His own Body. Instead, He forgives us and welcomes us back. Consider asking, “How does Peter’s denial affect him? In what ways does God forgive us and welcome us back?”
