Annoucements for the week of May 3, 2009
April 30th, 2009 Posted in UncategorizedAnyone interested in joining a Prayer Group at Grace? We are holding a brief meeting in the upstairs lounge after the worship service today.
20-25 people came to spend some time in prayer for the future of this congregation at the “Prayer Summit” last Sunday afternoon. Copies of the prayer pages are available. Take one along for use at home. Please keep praying for the future mission & ministry of Grace!
This Saturday, May 9th, we will be having a Church clean-up day, beginning at 8:00 AM until approx. 1:00 PM.
Things needing cleaning are as follows:
• Clean pews & seat cushions
• Wash Windows
• Gardens need raking & turning
• Power wash front of church (Need another power washer with hoses)
• Anything else anyone thinks needs cleaning inside or outside
Please bring your own rake & shovel to work on the gardens. We need all the help we can get, even if for only an hour. Please call Kevin Peploe at
283-4741 if you’re willing to help, or just join us Saturday!
Please plan to be with us next Sunday for our RE-COMMITMENT SUNDAY Our united efforts in Jesus’ name will be a blessing to many!
Russ Hughes will share a few comments about re-commitment, faith and life at Grace Church at the close of our worship time today. Thanks!
Anyone wishing to attend the call ceremony at St. Catherine’s seminary this Saturday, meet at the church at 2pm to carpool. Call Neil Stenzel or the church office, so that have an idea of how many people will be going.
Be sure to read and share the May Gleanings mailed this past week. Thanks to Bev Mills & Lisa Dixon for getting it together!
Grace will hold VBS July 20-24, from 5:30- 8:00 p.m. This year’s theme is Gadget’s Garage. Many volunteers will be needed to make this another successful year. If you would like to help out in any way, please see Randy Broeker.

Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments begin at 6:30 followed by the presentation. There is no cost, but seating is limited. Call Les Fuerch at 731-4281 by May 11 to reserve your place.

What We Learned in Sunday School Today… The story of “Paul and Timothy” serves as the focus of Sunday School today. Just as many in Paul’s day thought, we think we must do something to be saved. Yet the answer is always Jesus, Jesus, only Jesus, whose resurrection from the dead sealed our salvation and absolved the world. Questions for discussion include “How are you like Timothy?” and “How are we saved from our sin?”
