May 8th, 2009 Posted in UncategorizedToday, Re-commitment Sunday, is an opportunity for all members of the “body of Christ” at Grace to reflect on God’s blessings, and respond in gratitude with renewed priorities to bless the lives of many near and far. Together we can and do make a difference for many!
The percentage giving chart insert in today’s bulletin is a worthy “table discussion” item at home! Give it a try. Thanks!

There is a sign up on the glass bookcase for the Ascension Day BBQ on May 21 and for the Grace Ladies Tea on May 26.
The Rite of Confirmation for 2 of our young men will be celebrated on Pentecost Sunday, May 31st. Plan to be with us to encourage them and their families.
Grace will hold VBS July 20-24, from 5:30- 8:00 p.m. This year’s theme is Gadget’s Garage. Many volunteers will be needed to make this another successful year. If you would like to help out in any way, please see Randy Broeker.
Youth: If you are signed up for the Work Weekend at Camp Pioneer, please be at the church no later than 5:45 on Friday. We will leave at 6:00.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will host an educational Market Update Event on Monday, May 18 at Suzanne’s, 2843 Niagara Falls Blvd. in Wheatfield. Guest speaker will be Charles Etzweler. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments begin at 6:30 followed by the presentation. There is no cost, but seating is limited. Call Les Fuerch at 731-4281 by May 11 to reserve your place.
