July 17th, 2009 Posted in UncategorizedA Congregational Voters’ Meeting will be held following the Worship Service today. We are looking to fill several positions including, Elders, Trustees, Treasurer and Recording Secretary. Please consider using your talents and running for one of these open positions.
Vacation Bible School starts tomorrow evening at 5:30p.m. It’s not too late to register or volunteer to help. See Randy Broeker (731-5687), or just come tomorrow!
New Member Class will be held during VBS from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. If you are already a member but would like to attend a refresher, you are more than welcome!
There are some last minute requests on the VBS Giving Tree in the chapel. If you can donate an item and bring it in on Monday that would be great!!
VBS is collecting plastic (16oz. 1lb.) strawberry boxes for a craft project. There is a sample by Uncle Gadget in the chapel.
There are still three open dates for the summer coffee hour. The sign up sheet is in the upstairs kitchen for bakers and/or servers. All funds received from the Summer Coffee Fellowship are matched by Thrivent Financial and allocated for our Vacation Bible School.
If you would like any prints of Pastor Belasic’s last day or the Installation of Pastor Sorenson, please see Ron or Jane Schulz. A DVD of both services plays during coffee fellowship time in the chapel thorough out July.
Niagara Zone Lutheran Women’s Missionary League will host a potluck picnic supper at Grace Lutheran Church, 736 Cayuga Dr., Niagara Falls on Tuesday, August 11th, with gathering at 6:00 and eating to begin at 6:30 p.m. All Women are invited (friends and spouses, too). Bring a dish to share. Following supper, Zone delegate, Judy Ondak, will share information about the June National LWML Convention and announce the new grants for the next biennium to be funded with voluntary offerings in LWML Mite Boxes.
Our food pantry is VERY low on supplies, and we have families requesting aid. Donations of any type of non-perishable food items will be appreciated. We especially are in need of peanut butter, tuna, chunky soup, cereals, and canned meals (like ravioli). If you can help, leave your donations on the book nook in the chapel, or hand them to an usher. Thank you.
Through you contributions to the mission fund at Grace, we reach out and support different missions locally, nationally, and internationally. Family and Children’s Services of Niagara is the special mission for the month of July.
