Announcements for the week of August 2

We are going to order magnetic nametags to help us get to know each other better. The cost is $4 each, (donations gratefully accepted). Let us know how you would prefer your name tag to read on the sheet located at each exit. Note: magnetic nametags are not recommended for those with pacemakers. We can also get a clip style, so be sure to let us know if you would prefer the clip style nametag. Please call (283-1843) or email secretary@gracenf.org the church office with any questions.

New Member Class continues on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. It’s not too late to join! If you are already a member but would like to attend a refresher, you are more than welcome too. Contact Pastor for more info.

A big “thank you” for your help in restocking our food pantry. We have had several requests for aid this summer, and your help was very much appreciated. We will be starting our annual Harvest Food Collection in October, but donations to the pantry can be made at any time. Just leave them in a bag on the book nook in the chapel, or hand them to an usher. All types of nonperishable foods are helpful.

Seth Bomberry and his family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, cards and well wishes during his recovery.

DVD Slide Show of Vacation Bible School-Will be shown after worship services during coffee fellowship in August. Come see all fun we had during our week of VBS. Thanks again to all those who participated – staff and students. GOD’S ALWAYS DOING GREAT, EXCITING THINGS!!!

All Sunday School Staff – Our August meeting is going to be Sunday, August 16, after the worship and coffee fellowship. We plan to start at 11:50 a.m. with a light lunch/snack. The meeting will start at noon, and you should be home before 1:00 p.m. This is not a lesson preparation meeting. We are getting together to plan and organize for Rally Day and this year’s Sunday School program. At this time it looks like our staff is all returning plus some new – Ruth, Beth, Tiffany, Tracy and Michele. If this is incorrect, or if you would like to join in, please let Jane Schulz (283-3628) know.

Through your contributions to the mission fund at Grace, we reach out and support different missions locally, nationally, and internationally. Eastern District Scholarship Fund is the special mission for August.

There is a “Drop Your Drawers Here” box available in the narthex throughout the summer for donations of socks and all types and all sizes of undergarments. Families that are struggling to make ends meet often go without socks and undergarments because they need that money to buy food and pay utility bills. All items will be distributed to those in need in September. (Because of health laws, only new items can be accepted for donation).
