Sharing God’s Grace: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

Announcements for the week of September 27, 2009

September 25th, 2009 Posted in Uncategorized

There will be a Voters Meeting on October 4th – Right after church, we will have a discussion and vote on two issues. The first agenda item is a recommendation to resurface the parking lot. The second agenda item is a recommendation to reallocate funds within the current budget. Please plan on helping with these important decisions.

Grace Needs a Lay Delegate – Today we will nominate and elect a lay delegate who will represent our church in voting within the Eastern District and potentially at the LCMS convention. This person must be a confirmed member of the church. They will be responsible for attending a meeting in Amherst on October 4th where our Circuit will elect one lay and one pastoral delegate from our Circuit to attend the LCMS National Convention in Houston TX July 10 – 17, 2010. In addition to going to Houston this Circuit delegate will also need to attend a preparatory meeting in Boston MA in January 2010. So the person that Grace elects on September 27th is responsible for attending a meeting on October 4th and potentially traveling to two other meetings. This is an awesome responsibility as many important matters will be decided at the LCMS National Convention. If you have questions please talk to pastor.

Grace Ladies Annual Flea Market is this Saturday 9-3. If you have any items you would like to donate for the sale, please bring them to the church this week. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year!

If you are interested, our first meeting will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, at church. Speak to Ross or Amy Folmsbee, or just come on October 7.

A Big Thank You to all those who supported our summer coffee fellowships after service throughout the summer- the Bakers who offered a delicious variety of goodies; the servers and the donators. We were able to collect $340 for our VBS expenses.

Our Financial Secretary, Jon Lehning is in need of assistants to help count the plate receipts after Sunday worship services. This is a great opportunity to serve the Lord. Sign up using the form provided at the display case in the Chapel. If you have questions call Jon evenings at 283-8803.
