Our nametags have arrived! Look in chapel to pick yours up. There is a box in the narthex and one in the chapel to leave your nametag after worship (if you wish). If you use the front door your nametag will be there and if you use the parking lot door your nametag will be there waiting for you. If you forgot to order one, there is a sign up sheet in the narthex and the chapel for the next order. Let’s get to know one another!

Harvest Food Collection: Our annual food pantry collection begins today and will continue through Thanksgiving. We are collecting all types of non-perishable food items and frozen turkeys. Since we have experienced an increasing number of requests for help this past year, we will be keeping more to stock our own food pantry. Donations beyond what we can store will be donated to area food pantries to help them during the holidays.
Concordia Publishing House is offering special pricing on the new Lutheran Study Bible to be released on Reformation Day. There is a sampler with pricing information on the chapel.
Our Financial Secretary, Jon Lehning is in need of assistants to help count the plate receipts after Sunday worship services. This is a great opportunity to serve the Lord. Sign up using the form provided at the display case in the Chapel. If you have questions call Jon evenings at 283-8803.
Lutheran Witness subscriptions are available for $9.25 per year. If you would like to start getting the Lutheran Witness to your home, please contact the church office.
What We Learned in Sunday School Today… “Elijah and the Prophets of Baal” serves as the lesson focus for Sunday School. Just as the true God revealed Himself on Mount Carmel’s altar, so on the cross-shaped altar of Mount Calvary, Jesus revealed once and for all that He alone is the real God who loves us enough to die for us. Parents could ask, “How did God demonstrate His power on Mount Carmel? How does God reveal Himself to us?”
Through you contributions to the mission fund at Grace, we reach out and support different missions locally, nationally, and international. Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gowanda, NY is the special mission for the month of October.
