Announcements for the week of November 15, 2009

Lutheran High School Northwest performed a concert here last Wednesday evening. They would like to thank all those who attended and hosted them, and those who made a delicious supper and breakfast possible.

Concordia Publishing House has extended the sale for the Lutheran Study Bible. The hardback is now $39.99 and the Large print edition is $49.99. The Bibles can also be personalized (for an additional cost) if you would like them for a gift. Contact the church office to place and order.

50 years of teaching Sunday School We would like to thank Gladys Strasburg Beningo and Helen Stell for their many years of outstanding service and dedication to our Sunday School. Please stop by the Chapel to sign a card and give a free will offering for a token of our appreciation. A special presentation will be given at the worship service on December 13.

Grace Ladies meeting this week at 7:00 p.m. will be a wine and cheese party with Show and Tell. This promises to be a fun night out, open to all ladies of Grace. Come join us! We will be holding a Bazaar on Saturday, November 21 from 10-3 with lunch being served 11-1. Come check it out!

YOUTH- we will be baking bread on Friday night from 7-11 p.m. The bread will be used for the Thanksgiving Eve service. If you would like to volunteer to help, contact Pam Simcox. We are also planning a lock in for November 27-28. During this time we will set up the Christmas trees and decorate the church. Watch you email for more details.

Our annual food pantry collection continues through Thanksgiving. We are collecting all types of non-perishable food items and frozen turkeys. Contact an usher if you need help.

Social Ministries has volunteered to host the first Simple Supper on Dec. 2. We still need to cover the next two Wednesdays. If you would like to host, or help host a supper, please contact the church office.

Through you contributions to the mission fund at Grace, we reach out and support different missions locally, nationally, and internationally. Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gowanda, NY is the special mission for the months of November and December.
