Chiavetta’s Chicken Dinner –Get your tickets now for your delicious chicken dinner being held here at Grace on Sunday, April 25, from 4-6:30 p.m. sponsored by the Youth. Advance tickets are $8.00 and at the door will be $8.50. You may eat in or take out. Donations of desserts are greatly appreciated- sign up at the Book Nook.

Youth RECYCLE fund raiser- Bring your bottles and cans to our recycle bins at the parking lot door any Sunday during April and May. There will be a Youth Group member there to assist you.

WOW! What a comeback! After being at only $59 during the second week of our Penny War, we finished our “war” by receiving a total of $486.38 in donations! The “winners” of the Penny War will be announced today in Sunday School. The real winners, of course, are the three Lutheran missionaries in Africa who will receive new bicycles to travel the long dirt roads between their villages, and the additional 17 missionaries who will receive new inner tubes for their worn out tires. A big “thank you” to everyone for their generosity. What a great feeling to participate in spreading the wonderful news of our risen Lord to the farthest corners of the earth! Hallelujah, He is risen indeed!

The April Social Ministries committee meeting has been rescheduled to the second Wednesday of the month, April 14, at 6:00 p.m. to accommodate Easter schedules.

Through contributions in your monthly mission envelopes, we are able to reach out and support different missions on a local, national, and international level. Our mission envelopes for April will be donated to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod’s “Life Ministries”. This is a ministry actively involved in promoting the sanctity of human life through the funding of crisis pregnancy centers, providing education to promote teen abstinence, and working with other Christian pro-life groups to encourage life “in the image of God”. If your prayers move you to support “Life Ministries”, please place your mission envelope for April in the offering on any Sunday during the month.
