Announcements for the week April 25, 2010

TODAY IS THE CHICKEN DINNER DAY Come back to church between 4:00-6:30 for a delicious Chiavetta’s Chicken BBQ. We have sold 82 presale tickets-we need to serve 360 half chickens. Tell your family and friends. Eat in or take out. Come back or call (283-1843) after 6:15 pm any half chickens left will be sold for $5 each without the sides. Please help support our Youth in this fund raiser. Tickets on sale before and after church this morning in the Chapel and Narthex for $8.00 – tickets will be $8.50 at the door.

Youth Recycle bins are found at the front entrance and parking lot door, for bottles and cans. So far we have raised $28.80 – thank you. This will continue thru the month of May.

The Youth are selling discounts cards for area businesses. The cards are only $10 and can be used thru January 2011. There are 23 area businesses that can be used over and over again, so the card literally pays for itself! Cards are available before and after worship.

New Small Group Bible Study – Looking for another opportunity to better understand what God is doing in your life? An opportunity to get to know other members better? Or just an opportunity to relax in a Christian environment? Please consider joining us for a new small group Bible study called Breadbreakers. Our first meeting is on May 1st at 5 PM at the Sorenson’s house. For more information please consult your copy of Gleanings, the bulletin board outside the office, or call the office.
Driver Needed – A lady living on Spruce Avenue in Niagara Falls is looking for a ride to church. If you can help please let the church office know.

Webmaster Needed – If you enjoy tinkering on the internet we could use your help. Our website needs someone to keep the content fresh and relevant. If you can help please let the church office know.

Through contributions in your monthly mission envelopes, we are able to reach out and support different missions on a local, national, and international level. Our mission envelopes for April will be donated to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod’s “Life Ministries”. This is a ministry actively involved in promoting the sanctity of human life through the funding of crisis pregnancy centers, providing education to promote teen abstinence, and working with other Christian pro-life groups to encourage life “in the image of God”. If your prayers move you to support “Life Ministries”, please place your mission envelope for April in the offering on any Sunday during the month.
