Annoucements for the week of November 14, 2010

Grace Ladies Annual Fall Bazaar and Bake Goods sale is this Saturday, November 20 from 10-3. A chicken chowder lunch will be served from
11-1. Any donations of handmade or baked goods are greatly appreciated. Come check out the things we’ve been working on this year.

TURKEYS: We are collecting non-perishable food items and TURKEYS for donation to those in need over the holidays. Your donations will be used to restock our food pantry, and extras will be delivered to area food
banks. If you donate a turkey, it can be stored in the downstairs kitchen
freezer. An usher will assist you with this if needed. Please remember
this project as you shop. Our collection will end on Thanksgiving, which is just around the corner. Your help is appreciated.

Our FOOD PANTRY collection table has been set up in the narthex. We will continue to accept your donations of non-perishable food items until Thanksgiving. We use your gifts to restock our own pantry, and extras go to our area food banks. The need will be great over the coming holidays, so please remember this project as you do your grocery shopping. Your help is appreciated!

Attn: Youth (and anyone else who would like to join in on the fun). We will be decorating the church for Christmas on Saturday, November 27 at 4:00 p.m. A Lasertron outing with area youth groups is being planned. Watch your email and the bulletin for more details.

The deadline for the December issue of the Grace Gleanings is this Wednesday, November 17. If you have anything information you would like included please contact the church office 283-1843 or email

As you are aware, the cholera outbreak in Haiti is developing into a real crisis. LCMS World Relief and Human Care has committed an immediate release of $5,000 to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Haiti (ELCH) to respond to the needs of Haitians through their local congregations. Our Special Mission Envelopes for the rest of this year will be designated to “Hearts for Haiti”. This is an effort by First Trinity Lutheran Church on Niagara Falls Boulevard to raise $35,000 to rebuild a Lutheran church and school damaged in this year’s earthquake. Since the earthquake, there has been no organized educational system in the effected areas. First Trinity sends a group of their members to Haiti annually to minister to the needs of the Haitian people, who continue to be in great need since the devastating earthquake. Each dollar we donate will buy one cinder block for their rebuilding effort! If you would like more information on the cholera outbreak and how you can help directly go to
