Announcements for the week of December 26, 2010

Pastor will be away this week, if you are in need of pastoral assistance, please call our head elder Ron Schulz
at 283-3628.

Choir will have their Annual After Christmas party at the home of Carl and Helene Reisig on Friday, Jan. 7th at 5:30 p.m.

Breadbakers’ Bible Study will meet on Saturday, January 8, 5:00 pm at Pastor Sorenson’s home. We are starting a new topic so if you haven’t come before this would be a great time to join us! Call 799-7356 to RSVP and get directions.

2011 Offering Envelopes are in your mail slot in the chapel.

January Portals of Prayer are available in the narthex and the chapel. Feel free to pick one up.

Through LCEF Joyful Response program our church can receive electronic payments directly from personal bank accounts of LCEF Steward Accounts. It’s simple, safe, convenient, and makes it easy to be a faithful servant when you are sick or the weather is bad. Interested? Talk to Jon Lehning.

Attn Youth: We have a sledding outing planned for Saturday, January 15. Come join us, we had a great time last year! On January 29th we are going to Lasertron. Check your calendar, because you’ll need to RSVP for this one.

Giving Tree: There’s still time to participate in our Christmas Giving Tree. There are trees located in the chapel and the narthex with paper ornaments requesting donations of various items for local charities. These items will be delivered after the holidays. Donations will be accepted through New Year’s weekend. If you desire, take an ornament with you and bring the item back to church by New Year’s. The agencies we
are working with have many needs. Your help is appreciated.

Check out the Opportunities to Serve information on the bulletin board next to the office. If you are looking for new ways to get involved in 2011 there might be something just right for you!

On Sunday, January 23, we will have a Congregational Meeting after the worship service. This will be an opportunity to hear a report for 2010 from the various boards at Grace. A light lunch will be served. Good things are happening at Grace. Come hear all about it and share your ideas!

Please check each week for cards to sign on our book nook in the chapel. Social Ministries sends greeting cards on a regular basis to help brighten a day or celebrate a special event. The more signatures, the better! If you know of a member or a friend who could use a greeting card, mention it to Carl or Helene Reisig or leave a note in their mailbox.
