Announcements for the week of July 17, 2011

A Congregational Voters’ Meeting will be held after the 10:30 am Worship Service today. Please prayerfully consider how your talents may be used to help move Grace forward.

Pastor Sorenson is on vacation this week. If you are in need of pastoral assistance, please contact the church office at 283-1843 or Head Elder Ron Schulz at 283-3628.

We thank Reverend Brese for preaching today while Pastor Sorenson enjoys some time off. Reverend Brese is Staff Counselor at the Samaritan Counseling Center of WNY, 322 Old Falls Boulevard
North Tonawanda, New York 14120.
The SCC is a non-profit organization that provides affordable, professional and confidential counseling for individuals, couples, children and families in a spiritual, faith-oriented context. In addition, they provide consultations, training, workshops and educational programs for physicians, clergy, agencies, congregations and groups.

Thank you to all who have donated items from the VBS Donation Tree. If you have taken a card, please return the needed item as soon as possible since PandaMania starts next week. We appreciate your help!

Ladies: Save the date our Annual Grace Ladies Picnic will be held on Tuesday, August 2 at the home of Ruth Kumm. Bring a dish to pass.

Our annual summer Social Ministries project has begun. We are collecting new undergarments, socks, toiletries, and school supplies. All donations will be delivered in September to agencies in Niagara Falls who have requested our help. You can leave your donations on the tables set up in the narthex or chapel. Last year we donated 325 items to local agencies. Your help is needed to make this project a success again this year!!

Our FOOD PANTRY is running low. If you are able to help by purchasing a couple of non-perishable food items, please leave them on the table in the narthex or in the chapel. Especially needed right now are peanut butter, jelly, tuna, spaghetti sauce and chunky soups. Thank you for helping our neighbors in need.

Papyrus Camp at Camp Pioneer is our designated project for our July Special Mission envelopes. This is a special camp for inner city and foster children from Western New York who come from neglected or abusive family situations. For many of these children, their week at Camp Pioneer may be the only opportunity they will have while growing up to hear about the love that Jesus has for them. We hope you will support our effort to raise the $450 it costs to send one child to this camp for a week.
