VBS GIVING TREE–VBS starts in two weeks! If you have taken a tag off the giving tree, please be sure to return the item to the table by next Sunday, July 15 We will be decorating and organizing after church on that day, and we need to have our supplies available. Thank you so much for the generosity you have shown. We are expecting a capacity crowd at this year’s SKY VBS.
VBS MEETING–There will be a pizza lunch meeting after church next week to finalize VBS plans. After the meeting we will set up tables and decorate. This is our last meeting before VBS begins!
SKY VBS – Door registrations will be accepted on a “space available” basis only. Our seats are filling up and we are almost ready to “take off” as we discover that we can “Trust God no matter what”. JULY SPECIAL MISSION ENVELOPES – are designated for Papyrus Camp at Camp Pioneer. our Lutheran camp in Angola. Papyrus Camp is a special camp for inner city
foster children from Western New York. These are children who have been taken out of dysfunctional family situations where they have been abused and/or neglected. Often their week at this camp is the only opportunity these children will have to learn about the love Jesus has for each of them. Our goal is to raise the $450 needed to send one child to this camp.
SOCIAL MINISTRIES PROJECT FOR JULY AND AUGUST – our annual collection of underwear and socks. These are items that are in need for the fall and winter months, especially by the school aged children in our Niagara Falls inner city schools. Our school nurses truly appreciate this project. There is a box available in the narthex and in the chapel for your donations. All sizes are welcome. Children’s sizes are delivered to our inner city schools, and adult sizes are welcomed by the Community Mission.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – We are looking for someone to help with the DVD shut in program. We need someone to input the video onto the computer and burn CDs on Mondays. If this is something you would like to do or possibly learn to do, please contact the church office at 283-1843.
