Announcements for the week of October 21, 2012

Thrivent Coffee Hour – everyone is invited to stay after the worship service today to meet with Thrivent representatives Les Fuerch and Rich Kumm.

Pastor Sorenson on Radio! – Tune into our church body’s radio station, KFUO, on Wednesday, October 24, at 10:05 AM to listen to the “His Time” program.  As a part of the Matins service Pastor Sorenson will be delivering a devotion.  KFUO is broadcast out of St. Louis MO but is available streaming live over the internet by going to

Special Mission – our special mission envelopes for October thru December have been designated for the Samaritan Counseling Center, our 13 faith-based centers in WNY. SCC provides counseling, consultation and education in a spiritual environment for children, adolescents, individuals couples, families and clergy. Fees are on a sliding scale to provide services at little or no cost because of church donations. Brochures can be found on the glass case in chapel.

Harvest Food Collection – Our annual collection of non-perishable food items has begun and will continue until Thanksgiving.  We have had more people requesting assistance from our own pantry this year than in past years, so your donations will be especially appreciated.  All boxed and canned food items are needed.  Especially helpful are peanut butter, tuna, chunky meal-style soups, fruit, cereal, pastas, and sauces.  After we restock our own pantry, extras will be delivered to area food pantries to help with the upcoming holiday season.  Thank you for your generosity!
