Announcements for the week of October 28, 2012

Bridging the Gap – A new Young Adult (20s, 30s…) group meets on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School Hour. Come be blessed by God’s Word and learn more about God within our families and lives. Plan on having discussions on just about everything. For more information, contact Justin Smith, Sherry Reed or Virginia Markel.

Election Day Chowder and Bake Sale – Grace Ladies will be selling chowder to go and baked goods on Election Day. Any donations of baked goods would be greatly appreciated!

Special Mission – our special mission envelopes for October thru December have been designated for the Samaritan Counseling Center, our 13 faith-based centers in WNY. SCC provides counseling, consultation and education in a spiritual environment for children, adolescents, individuals couples, families and clergy. Fees are on a sliding scale to provide services at little or no cost because of church donations. Brochures can be found on the glass case in chapel.

Harvest Food Collection – Our annual collection of non-perishable food items has begun and will continue until Thanksgiving.  We have had more people requesting assistance from our own pantry this year than in past years, so your donations will be especially appreciated.  All boxed and canned food items are needed.  Especially helpful are peanut butter, tuna, chunky meal-style soups, fruit, cereal, pastas, and sauces.  After we restock our own pantry, extras will be delivered to area food pantries to help with the upcoming holiday season.  Thank you for your generosity!
