Welcome – to Reverend Gary Bauch who leads us in worship today. Pastor Bauch currently lives in the Rochester, NY area. He is a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, IN and was ordained a pastor in the LCMS in 1987. Rev. Bauch has served parishes in Gary, IN, New Kensington, PA, West Henrietta, NY and Hamlin, NY. In addition to parish service, he has served as a chaplain in the Veteran’s Administration, Monroe County Hospital, Rochester Presbyterian Home and Unity Health System. Pastor Bauch is married to Jean and they have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren.

Congregational Voter’s Meeting with Elections – on Sunday, September 15 after the 10:30am worship the Congregation will vote to elect the following positions, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Head Trustee and Chairman of the Board of Education. Each position is a two year term. Please prayerfully consider running for one of these positions in the coming weeks. There are sheets on the glass case in chapel describing the duties involved with each position.

Organist Needed – Our organist Lee Travers has officially retired, so we are in need of an organist immediately. Please spread the word and let the church office know of anyone who might be interested in the position.

Social Ministries Project – Our collection of SCHOOL SUPPLIES, SOCKS, AND UNDERWEAR will continue through Rally Day on September 8.  The need is so great this year that we have already made one delivery of your donated items to children in need in our Niagara Falls School system.  We will continue to accept donations into September, when we will make our final delivery to Harry Abate Elementary.  The nurses and administrators at Harry Abate are always very grateful for our help.  Many of their children live in inadequately supervised situations, and come to school with many needs unmet.  Your help with this project is appreciated by many!

The Gospel of John – will be the basis for a Bible Study on Thursday evenings beginning September 5 at 7:00pm. Reverend Brese will build on the study begun last year and move forward to its conclusion. All are welcome to bring guests to the Ladies Lounge.

Young Life Golf Tournament – Young Life is sponsoring a golf tournament with live and silent auctions on Monday, September 16 at River Oaks Golf Club on Grand Island. Cost is $150 per player and includes lunch and dinner. If you would like to be part of a foursome, just let the church office know. Dinner only tickets may be purchased for guests.
