Congregational Voters’ Meeting – TODAY after the Worship Service. This is an important meeting where we will be voting on the Budget for 2014. Please plan on attending.
Decorating – Please stay after church to decorate the sanctuary for Christmas. We will enjoy some fellowship and pizza.
New Bible Study – Join us Sunday morning starting in January for a new bible study entitled Marriage and Family and learn what God’s Plan for marriage is.
Turkeys – OUR FREEZER IS FULL! Thank you for your generous donations of turkeys! For the first time ever, our freezer is full to the brim and we don’t have room to store any more! Praise the Lord! Your donations will be delivered to our neighbors in need by St. Vincent de Paul with their Christmas baskets. Thank you for a job well done, good and faithful servants of the Lord!
Advent Giving Tree – Our Advent Giving Trees are set up in the chapel and the narthex through Christmas. We are helping those in need through four local organizations with this project, including the Magdalene Project, Summit Life Resources, Community Mission, and Harry Abate Elementary School. If you care to participate, please take a tag off the trees and purchase the item indicated, then return it to the tree table. Your generosity is appreciated!
December Special Mission Envelopes – have been designated for “Samaritan Counseling”. This organization provides faith-based counseling and is available to all in need on a sliding fee scale. Counseling appointments are available at several convenient locations, including Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Wheatfield and St. Martin Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. Our own Pastor Brese is a counselor with Samaritan. For more information, visit their web site at www.sccwny.com or call 743-9117. Your donations will help make this valuable service available to all in need.
New Organist – we are pleased to announce that Maye Smith has accepted the organist and choir director position and will start in January.
Lutheran Hour Ministries tracts – we have added several new topics to the rack in the Narthex. Check it out!
