PASTOR BAHR will be on vacation through this Tuesday. If you need pastoral care, please contact Elder Mark Andrews at 716-807-1758.

TODAY IS THE LAST OPPORTUNITY to donate to LCMS Disaster Response in your November special mission envelopes.  Your donation will be matched by our Social Ministries budget, and the total will then be matched again by Thrivent Financial.  This is a great opportunity to triple your donation.  Our disaster response teams have had a busy year responding to the needs of the many families displaced by multiple natural disasters. You may use the convenience envelopes in the pews to donate, but please be sure to mark the envelope clearly as “November Special Mission”.

THANK YOU for your generous gifts to our HARVEST FOOD COLLECTION:  Your donations will be distributed to Niagara Falls families by St. Vincent de Paul food pantry during the Christmas season.

HAMS & FROZEN TURKEYS are needed by Community Mission to help provide holiday meals.  Donations will be accepted through December 9th and can be stored in our downstairs kitchen.  If you need help carrying your donation, please ask an usher for assistance.

SUNDAY SCHOOL PARENTS:  Please make every effort to have your children in Sunday School each week.  We are learning our music and parts and fitting costumes for the Christmas program on December 16th.  Also, please mark your calendars for Saturday, December 15th when we will hold our Christmas pageant rehearsal from 10 AM – 12 PM, including a pizza lunch.  Your support is appreciated!

2019 POCKET CALENDARS with an inspirational verse are available on the glass case and in the narthex.  Help yourself.

OUR ADVENT GIVING TREES are set up in the narthex and chapel.  We are supporting several local agencies through this project.  If you wish to participate, please take a tag off the trees, purchase the item requested, and return it unwrapped to the tree tables.  All items will be distributed in January to our neighbors in need.

HATS AND MITTENS:  In addition to the items listed on our Giving Tree, hats, gloves,
and mittens are always needed as we head into the cold winter months ahead.
Many children and homeless adults from our inner-city areas lack these items to help
keep them warm.

On Tuesday, November 27th the Grace Ladies will be hosting a WINE & CHEESE PARTY at 7 PM.  Don’t’ forget to bring a memory item to show and tell.

THE PLATT-DEUTSCH (Low German) CONVERSATION GROUP of the Historical Society of North German Settlements in WNY will meet on Wednesday, November 28th at 12 PNM.  We will meet at Das Haus.  “Komm” and enjoy hearing and speaking, if you can, a language that is thousands of years old.

The next PEW SISTERS MEETING is Thursday, November 29th 6-8 PM.  If you or a friend would like to join us for Christian fellowship and Bible Study, November is the last opportunity to join Pew Sisters before this becomes a closed group.  Please contact Lacey Bahr.

Adult members (male & female) of our congregation are welcome to attend the ELDER USHER ORIENTATION & REFRESHER BREAKFAST being held on Saturday, December 1st at 8:00 AM.  Sign-up sheet is located on the glass display case.

A BUDGET VOTERS MEETING will take place following worship on Sunday, December 2nd.  Please see the latest edition of the Gleanings to view the budget worksheet, which will be arriving on your doorstep very soon!

Next Sunday the LEWISTON CHORALEERS will be holding a concert at Grace at 2 PM.  General admission is $5 with children 12 and under free.  The family-friendly program will feature an eclectic mix of traditional, contemporary, ethnic, and international holiday music.

Please consider accommodating (bed and breakfast) a member of THE KING’S BRASS who will be live in concert here at Grace on Thursday, December 6th at 7:00 PM.  If interested in helping please contact the office.

The Grace Ladies annual CATERED CHRISTMAS PARTY will be held on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:00 PM.  $12 per person and bring a $5 gift to exchange!  Sign-up sheet is located on the glass display case.

Order forms for CHRISTMAS FLOWERS can be found in today’s bulletin.  The Grace
Ladies are offering members of our congregation the opportunity to purchase
poinsettia plants.  Plants may be picked up after the 10:30 AM Christmas Morning
Service.  Orders are due no later than Wednesday, December 12th.

CHARITABLE GIFTS OF REAL ESTATE can be a fitting companion upon sale during life. Such gifts avoid capital gains and can be used in tandem with a charitable trust to produce income for life.  For more information, contact Robert Wirth, LCMS Foundation Gift Planner @ robert.wirth (at) lfnd (dot) org or 716-863-4427.

FLOWERS ON THE ALTAR this morning are in memory of our daughter, Kristen Marshanke, on her birthday by Joel and Dorothy Kew.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Decorations that will help us celebrate the birth of our Savior will be put up in the sanctuary on December 9th immediately following worship.  Help is needed to hang banners, arrange the nativity figures, and put up and decorate our trees.  Please put this on your calendar and plan to stay and help.  With enough assistance, it will only take an hour of your time.
