NIAGARA FALLS MEALS ON WHEELS has been designated for our December special mission envelopes. This is a local program that is not connected to any other “Meals On Wheels” agencies, which means that they are able to offer assistance to those in our city that would otherwise fall through the cracks. Their staff of four minimum wage workers and several volunteers deliver nutritious meals to elderly and disabled that cannot shop or cook for themselves. If you’re able to support their mission, please place your special mission envelope in the offering plate before the end of December.
NEXT SUNDAY IS THE LAST OPPORTUNITY TO DONATE HAMS & FROZEN TURKEYS to help Community Mission provide holiday meals. Donations can be stored in our downstairs kitchen. If you need help carrying your donation, please ask an usher for assistance.
OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PAGEANT is scheduled for December 16th during worship. Students should arrive at the usual Sunday School time of 9 AM on that day. Also, students and choir members should plan to ATTEND OUR ONLY FULL REHEARSAL ON DECEMBER 15th from 10 AM – 12 PM, ending with a pizza lunch for participants (choir please be here by 10:30 AM).
The LEWISTON CHORALEERS will be holding a concert at Grace this afternoon at 2 PM. General admission is $5 with children 12 and under free.
OUR ADVENT GIVING TREES are set up in the narthex and chapel. We are supporting several local agencies through this project. If you wish to participate, please take a tag off the trees, purchase the item requested, and return it unwrapped to the tree tables. All items will be distributed in January to our neighbors in need.
HATS AND MITTENS: In addition to the items listed on our Giving Tree, hats, gloves, and mittens are always needed as we head into the cold winter months ahead. Many children and homeless adults from our inner-city areas lack these items to help keep them warm.
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED NEXT SUNDAY: Decorations that will help us celebrate the birth of our Savior will be put up in the sanctuary on December 9th immediately following worship. Help is needed to arrange the nativity figures and put up and decorate our trees. Please put this on your calendar and plan to stay and help. With enough assistance, it will only take an hour of your time.
A BUDGET VOTERS MEETING will take place following worship today.
We are still seeking assistance in accommodating (bed and breakfast) the male members of THE KING’S BRASS. The group will be here next week on Thursday, December 6th at 7:00 PM for a live concert. If interested in assisting, please contact the office.
The Grace Ladies annual CATERED CHRISTMAS PARTY will be held on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:00 PM. $12 per person and bring a $5 gift to exchange! Sign-up sheet is located on the glass display case.
Order forms for CHRISTMAS FLOWERS can be found in the latest edition of The Gleanings or copies can be found on the glass display case. Orders are due no later than Wednesday, December 12th.
A CAROLING WE GO: Carolers needed to visit our home bound members on Sunday, December 23rd following worship. Please notify the office if you’d like to help spread the holiday spirit.
