Mission of the Month: Local Lutheran education.  Holy Ghost Lutheran School has begun its 179th school year, having started in 1843.  It is accredited by National Lutheran Schools Accreditation and serves nearly 150 students and their families in classes PreK 3 through 8th grade.   Your Mission of the Month donation helps them daily bring the love of God to their community.

New Members class: Exploring the Lutheran Faith, will be offered after worship starting October 2nd. This is for anyone who would like to become a member of this congregation and it’s a great review for the rest of us. Everyone is invited. Please fill out the registration form in your bulletin if you would like to attend.”

FLU SHOTS will be offered after worship today by Rite Aid.  Most insurances are accepted.  If you would like to participate, please go to the chapel after worship to fill out their form.  Immunizations will be done in the Ladies Lounge.

CHOIR:  The choir will practice two weeks from today, October 9, after worship.  We will also have a rehearsal on Wednesday, October 12, at 7 PM in the chapel.  The next time we sing during worship will be on October 16.

COVID at home test kits are available near the mailboxes in the chapel.  Their expiration date has been updated by the FDA.  The new expiration date for these kits is 3/31/23.  Please feel free to take what you can use.

Michael Bridges and George Baum of Lost and Found, two LCMS Eastern District natives, are returning to the area for a concert at Pioneer on the Lake in Angola, NY, to celebrate and support the place where they began their 35-year ministry in music. Join us on Friday, September 30th at 7pm in Wendt Shelter and bring a picnic dinner, watch the sunset, enjoy the concert, and stay for a bonfire on the beach.
