Announcements for Sunday, November 14th

TODAY there will be a SOCIAL MINISTRIES MEETING in the chapel after worship.  Lunch will be shared during the meeting.  New members are welcome to join us.

CHOIR will rehearse on Wednesday at 7 PM.  We are scheduled to sing next Sunday, so please do your best to attend.

LAST CHANCE:  Next Sunday is the last opportunity to donate to our HARVEST FOOD COLLECTION.   All donations are appreciated with a particular need for canned vegetables (especially corn), canned soups, tuna, and Ramen noodles.  Your gifts will be delivered to the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry on Military Road during Thanksgiving weekend to help them restock for the Christmas season.  Thank you for your generosity.

TURKEYS AND HAMS:  We will continue to accept donations of turkeys and hams until mid-December.  They are needed  by local soup kitchens for their upcoming holiday dinners.  Donations can be stored in the downstairs kitchen freezer.  Please ask an usher for assistance to carry your donation if needed.

NOVEMBER MISSION ENVELOPE donations are designated for GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Houma, Louisiana.  Their minister, Pastor Rudnik, was a seminary classmate of Pastor Bahr.  Grace suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Ida.  Many windows were broken, the roof needs replacement, and water damage ruined most of the inside which now needs to be gutted and rebuilt.  Your donations during November will be sent directly to Grace to help with construction costs as they move forward.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES will be Wednesdays starting January 5, 5:00-6:30 PM. All youth 6th grade and up who have not completed Confirmation instruction are encouraged to attend. Students may bring dinner. Please contact Erin ( (office@gracenf.org) office (at) gracenf (dot) org) by December 15 to register, including returning students.
