EARTHQUAKE AID: This morning and next Sunday we will be accepting donations after worship to aid the victims of this week’s major earthquake in Turkey and Syria. If you would like to donate, there will be offering plates available at each entrance.
MISSION ENVELOPES for February are designated to support the local chapter of Young Life, a Christian group devoted to bringing teens to the knowledge of our loving Savior. They sponsor meetings, fun activities, and camps that allow caring, Christian adults to connect with the many teens that attend. A number of youth from Grace have attended Young Life activities over the years. Dick Crawford is associated with this organization and would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding their mission. If you wish to support them, please use your mission envelope during February or donate online under “monthly mission”.
FUNDRAISING DINNER: Young Life’s annual dinner is scheduled for March 30 at Classics V Banquet Center. There is no charge for the dinner, but donations to support Young Life are appreciated. We have tables reserved so we can sit together. Please sign up on the glass case if you plan to attend.
TOILET TISSUE MISSION PROJECT: We are accepting donations of TOILET TISSUE through February to benefit the clients served by Heart, Love, and Soul. Toilet tissue cannot be purchased with government benefit cards, so it is one of the items that is most requested and appreciated by our neighbors who are struggling financially. Please consider supporting this opportunity to show our love to those in need in our city in a way that helps them maintain their dignity.
LAST CHANCE! Today is the deadline to order SPRING BOUQUETS to benefit Niagara Hospice. There is a signup sheet on the glass case in the chapel. Cost is $10 (please make payment to Jane Schulz). Bouquets will be placed on the altar on March 12 and will be available for you to take home after worship that day.
CHOIR will practice after worship NEXT SUNDAY (February 19) for our Ash Wednesday service on February 22. New members are always welcome. Please see Ross Folmsbee or Maye Smith if you have questions.
THANK YOU to Pastor Bahr and to all who attended his demonstration last Sunday on how to use our AED. We hope it is information we will never need to use, but it is always good to be prepared.
THANK YOU for your generous support of our January mission, Orphan Grain Train. Your donations and matching funds resulted in being able to send $800 to help them in the critical work they are doing in the U.S. and around the world.
RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE will be held here at Grace on Saturday, February 25 from 8:00am – 12:00pm.
