THE GLEANINGS submission deadline for the next issue is Monday, November 13th.
CHOIR REMINDER: Choir will sing during worship next Sunday, November 5. There will be a rehearsal in the balcony after the service.
HARVEST FOOD DONATIONS: Three weeks remain to participate in our collection of non-perishable food items. We are accepting all non-perishable foods for St. Vincent dePaul food pantry. There is a shopping list available on the donation tables that list the items that are especially helpful to them. All of your donations will be delivered on Thanksgiving weekend to help them prepare for their Christmas distribution of food to our neighbors in need.
MACARONI AND CHEESE: We are also accepting donations of macaroni and cheese which will be donated to Potter’s Field to assist them as they provide meals to their group of under-supervised and neglected Niagara Falls children. They now meet with as many as 55 children several times each week to provide a meal, stable adult mentorship, and a chance to “just be kids” in a safe environment while learning about the love Jesus has for each of them.
CHANGE” THE BOILER FUNDRAISER: Coins, paper money, or checks can be deposited in the coin jar located near the front pew as you enter the sanctuary, or boxes in the chapel and narthex. We will continue to offer this opportunity to participate through November. Thank you for helping to cover the $28,000 cost of our new boiler.
TURKEYS & HAMS: Again this year, we are accepting donations of turkeys and hams which can be stored in our downstairs freezer. We deliver these to various agencies, all located in Niagara Falls, that provide free holiday dinners for our neighbors in need. If you need help carrying your donation downstairs, please ask an usher.
SOCIAL MINISTRIES MEETING: Our next meeting is scheduled for after worship two weeks from today (November 12). New members are welcome to join the meeting. Meetings last about an hour and include a light lunch.
This is the FINAL SUNDAY to contribute to our local Lutheran schools through Mission of the Month. Mark your pew envelope “Mission of the Month” if you don’t have yours today, or give through our online giving app.
Check out the CHRISTMAS BOOKLETS made by the Grace Ladies for distribution to our homebound members this December. If you know someone who would appreciate receiving on of these booklets, let a member of the Grace Ladies know. Booklets are display in the chapel on the table with our freshly painted Christmas characters.
PANERA FUNDRAISER PROFIT: Grace will be receiving a check in the amount of $348.80 (40% of $872.01) in about 4-5 weeks. Thanks to Amy Folmsbee for organizing this event with Panera, Grace Ladies and others who promoted it, and all participants who went for dinner on October 19th. Every little bit is helping to keep us warm in church this winter.
