Announcements for Sunday, January 7th

ATTENDANCE SHEETS found in the bulletin will assist us in making sure that all of our members are being cared for as needed during our vacancy.  Please fill them out EACH WEEK and place them in the offering plate.

SOCIAL MINISTRIES will meet in the chapel next Sunday after worship.  Lunch is shared during the meeting, which lasts about an hour.  Please consider joining us as we start a new year of helping our neighbors in need.

THANK YOU for your generous response to our collection of turkeys and hams, and our Advent Giving Tree.  A total of 21 turkeys and 7 hams were delivered to the Salvation Army, Lighthouse Women and Children’s, and Community Mission to help feed our neighbors.  We are in the process of delivering your gifts to the Advent Tree.  The agencies we work with are genuinely thankful.  Watch the next Gleanings for more details.

JANUARY MISSION ENVELOPES are designated to support Food for the Poor in memory of our former minister, Rev. Daniel Otto, who was a long-time volunteer for this Christian ministry to those living in extreme poverty.  In 2023, FFTP served over 176 million meals, built 1251 homes, delivered almost 2000 trailers of aid to disaster areas, and worked to provide medical care and clean water to numerous communities.  If you would like to donate, please place your mission envelope in the offering plate during January, or donate online by choosing the “monthly mission” option.

CHRISTMAS CARDS:  We are in need of old (or new) Christmas cards to make Christmas booklets for next year.  There is a bag on the glass case for your donations.

The next GLEANINGS DEADLINE is Wednesday, January 17th.
