Announcements for Sunday, January 12th

GLEANINGS DEADLINE for the February/March issue is this Wednesday, January 15th.

 NEXT SUNDAY’S READINGS are Isaiah 62:1-5, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 and John 2:1-11.

JANUARY MISSION ENVELOPES will support LIGHTHOUSE WOMEN & CHILDREN’S CENTER (formerly the Magdalene Project) in Niagara Falls.  Lighthouse reaches out to exploited women in Niagara Falls with the good news of Jesus’ love for them.  They offer support for those who are working to better their life situation.  Lighthouse also works with under supervised children in our inner city, offering them after school activities and snacks in a safe environment.  If you would like to support Lighthouse, place your donation in your monthly mission envelope or donate online using the “monthly mission” option.

SOCIAL MINISTRIES will meet in the chapel after worship today.  New members are welcome to attend.

THANK YOU for your many donations to support our Giving Tree again this year.  Our partner agencies are especially grateful to receive your gifts to help them restock after the holidays as they continue to meet the needs of our neighbors throughout the year.  When Pastor Pingel noticed the donation table last Sunday, he asked several questions about our congregation’s Social Ministries’ projects and took pictures to share at the District office.  He expressed his thankfulness for the generosity of our members in serving the needs of our community.

THANK YOU for your donations to our November mission envelopes.  We were able to gift $1072.20 to Help & Hope for the Homeless, Inc.  This will go directly to providing education or training to someone(s) in our area seeking to better their current living situation.

Super Bowl sub meals can be ordered now through February 5th. Order forms are at each entrance and can be turned in at the office, or to any of our participants: Daniel Bahr, John Bahr, or Audrey Markel. Pick up will be after church on February 9th.
