MAY MISSION ENVELOPES are designated to support Potter’s Field, located on Hyde Park Boulevard in Niagara Falls. Potter’s Field is a group of Christian adults who gather together a group of our city’s high risk children and teens several times each week. Many of these children come from homes where a parent is incarcerated, or is involved in prostitution, drugs, or other illicit activities that lead to neglect of their children. At Potter’s Field, they are taught about God’s love for them, they receive a meal with each gathering, and they are given the opportunity to play, do crafts, and enjoy Christian music in the presence of Christian role models. They are changing lives. If you would like to support their work, place your mission envelope in the offering plate during May, or donate online under the “monthly mission” option.
SOCIAL MINISTRIES will meet after worship two weeks from today, on May 18. New members are always welcome. We share a light lunch during the meeting.
The Niagara Endurers’ Meat Raffle is Saturday, May 10 at Frontier Fire Hall. Doors open at 5 pm; first spin is at 6 pm. $15 per ticket, or $100 for a table of 8. Beer/Wine/Pop is included with your ticket. Ticket sales begin next week.
