This is the FINAL WEEK to contribute to our local Lutheran schools through Mission of the Month. Mark your pew envelope “Mission of the Month” if you don’t have yours today, or give through our online giving app.
HARVEST FOOD COLLECTION: Our mission project to help St. Vincent de Paul food pantry will continue until November 20. All non-perishable food donations are appreciated. However, because of supply chain shortages and inflation, certain items are especially needed this year, including canned green beans & corn, canned peaches, pears, and mandarin oranges, ramen noodles, and cereals. Thank you to those who are helping our local neighbors in need.
TURKEYS & HAMS: We will be accepting donations of turkeys and hams through mid-December. Please consider if you are able to support this project to help the Salvation Army, Community Mission, Lighthouse Women & Children, and the Lord’s Day Dinner provide holiday dinners for our neighbors in need. Your gifts can be stored in the downstairs kitchen freezer. If you need help carrying, please ask an usher for assistance.
NOVEMBER MISSION ENVELOPES have been designated to support Niagara Hospice. This local agency provides physical, emotional, and spiritual care to patients and families facing terminal illness. They have provided comfort and dignity to several cherished families of our congregation in recent months. They strive to maximize their quality of life for as long as possible in home settings, long-term care, and their Hospice House facilities. If you wish to support their services, please place your mission envelope in the offering plate during November, or donate online in the monthly mission section.
GRACE LADIES will again be selling Save Around Buffalo books for $25 after worship today, they will be on sale until December 11th. Stop by the chapel or narthex and check it out. They will also be having a bake sale in the Ladies Lounge after worship on Sunday, November 20th. Stop by for some homemade breads and other baked goods.
CHOIR REHEARSALS will meet again on Sunday, November 13th after worship as we prepare to sing on November 20th (the Sunday before Thanksgiving). New members are welcome. We have a seat saved for you!
THE GLEANINGS submission deadline for the next issue is Monday, November 13th.
BEYOND THE SURFACE: Christian education Wednesday, November 2nd at 10:00am. We will be looking at the following verses: Revelation 7: 9-17, 1 John 3: 1-3 and Matthew 5: 1-12.
