APRIL MISSION ENVELOPES are designated to support Pioneer on the Lake. Several of our teens and their leaders will be joining numerous other youth in May for the camp’s Junior/Senior High retreat weekend, where they will enjoy lots of fun and games, Christian fellowship, worship and devotions, and a service project. Pioneer is offering numerous camps and events this season, including weekend family camps, music week, various retreats for all ages, weekly car cruises, and worship on most Sundays. Various accommodations, including fully equipped and air conditioned cabins, are available for families or groups to rent for a relaxing get-away. If you would like to support the upkeep and programs at Pioneer, please place your mission envelope in the offering plate or donate online under “monthly mission” during April.
POTTER’S FIELD: Your generous donations to our March mission envelopes has resulted in being able to send $1,100 to support the work being done with our city’s children by Potter’s Field. Rev. Paul Vogel expressed his sincerest appreciation for our assistance as they reach out to these children whose parents are not active in their lives. It will be very helpful in purchasing the food and supplies that are needed as they meet with them three times each week to share the love of Jesus and provide caring, Christian role models.
OISHEI COMFORT BAGS are provided to all new admits that enter OCH. Comfort bags ensure families have a warm welcome, the necessary toiletries needed during their admission, and a few activities/ treats to reduce an oftentimes stressful scenario and to provide some measures of care and comfort while they are away from home. We have volunteers that distribute these comfort bags three time a week. You can find a list of accepted items on the display tables outside the sanctuary.
BOARD OF CHRISTIAN ED is looking to update our resource technology with a new television for downstairs. Estimated cost is $2000. If you are willing to contribute to this investment, please see Virginia Markel or Lacey Bahr.
