“CHANGE” THE BOILER FUNDRAISER: YES, (to answer those who have asked), it is fine to leave paper money or checks as well as loose change in the donation boxes for our “Change” the Boiler Fundraiser. We will continue to offer this opportunity to participate through November. Thank you for helping to cover the $28,000 cost of our new boiler.
THIS THURSDAY IS OUR PANERA FUNDRAISER: Don’t forget your flyer! Panera will donate 40% of their profit to Grace for all purchases made at their Military Road store USING OUR FLYER between the hours of 4 & 8 pm on Thursday. You can also use the code FUND4U if ordering online. This is a special offer from Panera. They normally donate only 20% of their profit for fundraisers, so let’s show our support! Flyers are available on the glass case and can be passed out to your family, friends, and co-workers. Panera asks that we NOT hand out flyers on their property, so let’s be sure to honor their request.
SHOPPING LISTS AVAILABLE: Our annual Harvest Food Donation project will run through November 19. There are shopping lists available on the tables in the narthex and chapel. Any and all donations are appreciated, but there are certain items that are especially helpful, as indicated on the shopping list. Your gifts will support our partners, St. Vincent de Paul, as they prepare to serve our neighbors in need during the holidays. This year we will also accept donations of MACARONI & CHEESE, which will be delivered to Potter’s Field to assist them as they provide meals to the group of under-supervised and neglected children that they mentor.
TWO WEEKS AWAY: Our TRUNK OR TREAT is coming up quickly! More participants are needed. A sign up sheet is located on the glass case for participating in or donating to this year’s event on Saturday, October 28. This is our largest outreach event, with over 100 children and their families attending each year. Participation simply involves handing out treats from the trunk of your car. Costumes and decorations add to the fun, but are not mandatory. In the case of rain, it is held inside.
CANDY DONATIONS are needed for our Trunk or Treat event. If you would like to donate candy or other wrapped treats, please leave them on one of the food donation tables in the chapel or narthex. Thank you for your support!
TURKEYS & HAMS: Again this year, we are accepting donations of turkeys and hams which can be stored in our downstairs freezer. We deliver these to various agencies, all located in Niagara Falls, that provide free holiday dinners for our neighbors in need. If you need help carrying your donation downstairs, please ask an usher.
CHOIR REMINDER: We will be practicing after worship next Sunday in the chapel. We would like to sing soon, so your attendance will be greatly appreciated.
GRACE LADIES MEETING will be this Tuesday, October 17th at 6:00pm. We will work on our Christmas card booklets to share with the homebound, etc. Hostesses are Joyce, Lin & Dorothy.
