CHOIR: There is no rehearsal this week. We will rehearse after the Wednesday Advent service on December 15, which will be our last rehearsal before singing at the Christmas Eve 5 PM service. Also, please plan to meet in the balcony at 4:30 PM on Christmas Eve for a warmup.
TURKEYS AND HAMS–ONE MORE WEEK: We will continue to accept donations of turkeys and hams until next Sunday, December 12. Because of your generosity, we were able to donate turkeys and hams to the Community Mission, Lord’s Day Dinner, Salvation Army, and Lighthouse Women’s & Children’s Center (Magdalene) for their Thanksgiving dinners. Additional help is needed for their upcoming Christmas meals. Donations can be stored in the downstairs kitchen freezer. Please ask an usher for assistance to carry your donation if needed.
DECEMBER MISSION ENVELOPES are designated to support Help & Hope for the Homeless, Inc. This is a local charity founded by Grace member John Loss. The purpose of Help and Hope is to aid a homeless individual or family as they receive job training and associated skills needed to get their life on track toward success. If you would like to support their efforts, please place your mission envelope in the offering plate, send it to the office, or donate to Monthly Missions online during December. Feel free to talk with John if you have questions.
OUR ADVENT GIVING TREES are available in the chapel and narthex. We are accepting items that will support Heart, Love, & Soul, Lighthouse (Magdalene), and Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission. If you would like to support these agencies, please take a tag (or two) from the tree and bring the items back to the table unwrapped.
GIFT CARD donations to Wegmans, TOPS, and Walmart will be used by our Advent Giving Tree partner agencies to purchase needed food and toiletry items for their clients. You can place gift cards in the box provided under each tree or give them to Erin in the office. All donated cards will be stored securely.
LAST DAY to place a Christmas Poinsettia order from the Grace Ladies. Order forms are at both sanctuary entrances, please turn in your order to the church office after today’s service. The cost is $8 a piece.
THE ALTAR GUILD is currently looking for members to join. The guild is run on a monthly commitment and you will be matched with a current guild member and/or trained on the weekly guild duties. Please contact either the church office or Erika Tuscher if you are interested.
The next American Red Cross blood drive will be held here at Grace on Saturday, December 18th from 9:00am – 1:00pm.
The 2022 FLOWER CHART is now hanging in the narthex. Cost for a centerpiece is $45, or you can choose two vases at a cost of $56. When you sign up for a date, please find the altar flower order form outside either sanctuary entrance. Please complete the form and return to the church office no later than the Tuesday before your date.
BEYOND THE SURFACE Wednesday Christian education continuing this Wednesday, December 8th at 10:00am. We will be looking at the following verses: Zephaniah 3: 14-20, Philippians 4: 4-7, and Luke 7: 18-28.
