ATTENDANCE SHEETS found in the bulletin will assist us in making sure that all of our members are being cared for as needed during our vacancy. Please fill them out EACH WEEK and place them in the offering plate.
Lee Travers, our former organist who served us faithfully for many years, has been called home to be with her Lord. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, January 28, at 1 pm at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, Sanborn.
PASTOR BRESE has shared that he once had the opportunity to help unload much needed supplies sent by Orphan Grain Train to an isolated area of Nicaragua. January mission envelopes are designated to support this Christian volunteer network that ships donated food, clothing, medical and other needed supplies to people in the United States and around the world. Pastor Brese would be glad to answer any questions you may have about the great work they do. Orphan Grain Train is a recognized service organization of LCMS. If you would like to support their work, please place your mission envelope in the offering plate during January or donate to “monthly mission” online at www.gracenf.org.
TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY, on February 5, Pastor Bahr has volunteered to hold a short, informal demonstration of how our AED (automated external defibrillator) works. This is the same piece of equipment that saved Damar Hamlin’s life. Anyone can use an AED. It is surprisingly easy to use and does not require medical knowledge or physical strength. We never know when an emergency will occur. Plan to spend a few minutes in the chapel after church that Sunday to see how simple it could be to save a life.
