Announcements for Sunday, February 26th

CHURCH OFFICE will be closed on Thursday, March 2nd. Please have all announcements and prayer requests submitted no later than Wednesday March 1st at noon.

THE GLEANINGS – Submission deadline for the next issue is Monday, March 13th

CHOIR REHEARSALS:  The choir will practice during Lent after the Wednesday evening services.  New members are always welcome.  Please see Ross Folmsbee or Maye Smith if you have questions.

LAST CHANCE:  Mission envelopes for February are designated to support the local chapter of Young Life, a Christian group devoted to bringing teens to the knowledge of our loving Savior.  They sponsor meetings, fun activities, and camps that allow caring, Christian adults to connect with the many teens that attend.  A number of youth from Grace have attended Young Life activities over the years.  Dick Crawford is associated with this organization and would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding their mission.  If you wish to support them, please use your mission envelope during February or donate online under “monthly mission”.

FUNDRAISING DINNER:  Young Life’s annual dinner is scheduled for March 30 at Classics V Banquet Center.  There is no charge for the dinner, but donations to support Young Life are appreciated.  We have tables reserved so we can sit together.  Please sign up on the glass case if you plan to attend.

THANK YOU for your generous donations to our door offering to aid the victims of the earthquake in Turkey & Syria.  Your donations totaled $520, which has been sent through Food for the Poor to provide life-saving aid to the victims in the form of food, water, and medical supplies.

WEDNESDAY LENTEN SERVICE – MARCH 1st @ 6:30PM SALT: The Gift That Sweetens and Preserves You are God’s own dear child, baptized, washed, and salted in Christ. This Lenten walk reminds us that Jesus died on Calvary’s cross to vaccinate us completely from sin’s power and eternal death. God is not distant from you but very near. He comes to deliver you and preserve you amid all your troubles. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
