STAY FOR A BIT after worship today at our Summer Coffee Hour. Take a short break from your busy schedule to relax, enjoy a treat, and visit with your church family. Coffee Hour will be held after worship each week through the summer. If you are able to help provide baked goods, please sign up for a week (or two) on the glass case in the chapel. If you have questions, please speak to Gary Krull.
PLEASE RETURN the Baby Bottle Banks for Summit Life Outreach as soon as possible. They can be given to Alice Moll or dropped off in the office.
JUNE MISSION ENVELOPES are designated to support Lutheran Church Charities (LCC) K-9 Comfort Dogs. LCC currently has 130 specially trained Golden Retrievers that are located throughout the country. They respond to natural and man-made disasters (including mass shootings) to offer comfort to victims and first responders and open doors for conversations about God’s love. Most often, they have “paws on the ground” within 24 hours of being invited. LCC guarantees that 100% of your donation will go toward the training, care, and travel expenses of these K-9’s. To support LCC K-9’s, place your mission envelope in the offering plate during June or donate online under “monthly mission”.
OUR ANNUAL SUMMER MISSION PROJECT will begin in July and run through Labor Day. We will be accepting donations of school supplies, underwear, and socks for children at Harry Abate Elementary School, one of our inner-city schools. This year we will also be accepting craft supplies for Potter’s Field 99 located on Highland Avenue, a Christian group that provides activities several times a week for children with limited or inadequate parental supervision. Watch for more details in next week’s bulletin.
