Announcements for Sunday, June 25th

CHURCH SUMMER OFFICE HOURS start this week.

COFFEE HOUR will be held in the chapel after worship each Sunday during the summer.  Take a short break from your busy schedule to relax, enjoy a treat, and visit with your church family.  If you are able to help provide baked goods, please sign up for a week (or two) on the glass case in the chapel.  Please speak to Gary Krull if you have any questions.

JUNE MISSION ENVELOPES are designated to support Lutheran Church Charities (LCC) K-9 Comfort Dogs.  LCC currently has 130 specially trained Golden Retrievers that are located throughout the country.  They respond to natural and man-made disasters (including mass shootings) to offer comfort to victims and first responders and open doors for conversations about God’s love.  Most often, they have “paws on the ground” within 24 hours of being invited.  LCC guarantees that 100% of your donation will go toward the training, care, and travel expenses of these K-9′ s.  To support LCC K-9’s, place your mission envelope in the offering plate or donate online under “monthly mission” by Friday.

OUR ANNUAL SUMMER MISSION PROJECT will begin next Sunday and run through Labor Day.  We will be accepting donations of school supplies, underwear, and socks for children at Harry Abate Elementary School, one of our inner city schools.  We will also be accepting craft supplies for Potter’s Field 99 located on Highland Avenue, a Christian group that provides fellowship and activities several times a week for children with limited or inadequate parental supervision.  Thank you for helping the children in need in our city.

THANK YOU for your generous support of Summit Life Resources with your donations of baby care items and baby bottle banks.  We will let you know how much was donated once Alice Moll finishes counting all that change!!  (If you have not already done so, please return your baby bottle banks to her ASAP.)

UPCOMING FUNDRAISERS:  Over the next several months, we will be offering the opportunity to participate in several fundraising efforts as we raise money to replace our boiler at a cost of approximately $30,000.  You will be able to watch our progress on the thermometer posters (thanks to Marla Crawford).  Watch for more details which will be coming soon.VOTERS MEETING will be held today after service for elections.
