GREAT NEWS! Last Sunday our youth hunted for your “Loose Change Sunday” donations after worship. They had a great time finding change and paper money on the pews that totaled $332.62! Thank you for your generosity and support of this event. Today is the last day to donate to our “Change the Boiler” coin jars. We will have a final total for this fundraiser soon.
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED: Next Sunday, December 3, we will decorate our sanctuary for the Advent & Christmas seasons. Help is needed after worship to put up our trees, nativity, banners, and other decorations. Please consider staying to lend a hand.
ADVENT GIVING TREE: Our Giving Trees are available in the narthex and chapel. They are decorated with tags listing items needed by local agencies that work with our neighbors in need. If you would like to participate in this mission, please take a tag from the tree, purchase the item listed, and return it unwrapped to the tree table.
CHOIR: Our next rehearsal will be after the Advent service on December 6. The next time we sing will be on Christmas Eve.
FREE: File of Life forms are available on the glass case courtesy of the Niagara County Office of the Aging. After you fill out your emergency contacts and pertinent health information, one file can be placed on your refrigerator and the smaller one can be carried with you. They will provide critical information to medical personnel and first responders in an emergency.
SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION: On December 17, our Sunday School students will be participating in worship in various ways, including singing a song with costumes and signs. All are invited to a reception following worship to enjoy pizza, cake, and other goodies.
CANDY FUNDRAISER: Our youth are selling Fowler’s candy bars after worship as part of our “Warm Hearts, Warm Toes” boiler fundraiser. There are a variety of flavors at a cost of $2 per bar. Because the candy was donated, the entire $2 will go toward the cost of our boiler. They will make great stocking stuffers (or snacks for Santa).
NOVEMBER MISSION ENVELOPES are designated to support Niagara Hospice. Several cherished members of Grace have utilized Niagara Hospice services recently as they awaited God’s call to their heavenly home. Hospice provides specialized care, comfort, and dignity for patients and their families that have a life-limiting diagnosis. They help families maximize quality of life by providing expert symptom management and comprehensive end-of-life guidance. If you would like to support Niagara Hospice, place your mission envelope in the offering plate today, or donate online by Thursday, choosing “monthly mission”.
THANK YOU for your generous donations to our Harvest Food Collection for St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and our macaroni and cheese collection for Potter’s Field 99. Your donations were greatly appreciated by these agencies as they prepare to feed the hungry over the Christmas season.
TURKEYS & HAMS: Turkeys have been delivered to the Salvation Army, Community Mission, and Lighthouse Women and Children’s to help them feed our hungry neighbors a Thanksgiving meal. We will CONTINUE to accept donations of turkeys and hams for Christmas dinners UNTIL DECEMBER 17. If you need help carrying your donation to the downstairs freezer, please ask an usher.
