CHOIR: We will begin today’s practice in the balcony about 15 minutes after worship ends. If you are interested, enjoy a cup of coffee in the chapel and then join us upstairs. We will be practicing three selections today. Please try to stay today if at all possible since we are not able to practice again until September 22 (due to the holiday weekend, Rally Day, and a Social Ministries meeting on the next three Sundays). New members are needed!
NEXT SUNDAY is the last opportunity to donate school and craft supplies, socks, and underwear for children in need in Niagara Falls. School supplies and clothing will be distributed directly to students by the teachers and nurses at Harry Abate Elementary School as they identify those who truly need assistance. Craft supplies will support Potter’s Field, as they meet with and mentor high risk children who do not have a stable adult in their life. Thank you for caring for our city’s children who need help.
AUGUST MISSION ENVELOPES are designated to support WINGS FLIGHTS OF HOPE. Medical air transport normally costs in excess of $15,000 per flight. Wings is a local, all-volunteer group of pilots and support staff who provide FREE air transportation to patients in need of medical attention at a specialized location. These are patients who cannot travel on commercial flights because of their medical needs. The pilots at Wings donate their time, planes, and all expenses. Please help us support Wings with your August mission envelopes, or donate online under “monthly mission”.
SIGN UP FOR RALLY DAY PICNIC: We will share fun, fellowship, and delicious food after worship on September 8 at our annual Rally Day Picnic. Hamburgs, hotdogs, and drinks will be provided. Sign up on the glass case to bring a side dish or dessert to share if you are able. We hope to see everyone there as we celebrate the start of another year of Christian education opportunities.
SOCIAL MINISTRIES: Our next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 15 after worship.
FLU SHOTS: Unfortunately, we are not able to offer flu shots at Grace this year. The pharmacist that was doing this for us left Rite Aid last October, and they do not have anyone available to continue this service. Flu and Covid vaccines will be available at pharmacies and doctor’s offices and are covered by most insurances. September and October are the recommended months for receiving your vaccinations.
