Announcements for Sunday, February 19th

EARTHQUAKE AID:  Today will be the last opportunity to donate to aid the victims of the major earthquake in Turkey and Syria.  If you would like to donate, there will be offering plates available at each entrance.  We will be sending your donations through Food for the Poor, which is the agency our former Pastor Otto volunteered with.  Food for the Poor has set up a designated donation site so that all of your donations will support their trusted partner agencies that are already working in the affected areas.  They are prioritizing getting food, water, and medical supplies to those who have lost their homes and families.  Thank you for your generous support.

NEXT WEEK is the last Sunday to donate TOILET TISSUE to benefit the clients served by Heart, Love, and Soul.  Toilet tissue cannot be purchased with government benefit cards, so it is one of the items that is most requested and appreciated by our neighbors who are struggling financially.  Please consider supporting this opportunity to show our love to those in need in our city in a way that helps them maintain their dignity.

CHOIR will practice in the balcony after worship today for this week’s Ash Wednesday service.  New members are always welcome.  Please see Ross Folmsbee or Maye Smith if you have questions.

MISSION ENVELOPES for February are designated to support the local chapter of Young Life, a Christian group devoted to bringing teens to the knowledge of our loving Savior.  They sponsor meetings, fun activities, and camps that allow caring, Christian adults to connect with the many teens that attend.  A number of youth from Grace have attended Young Life activities over the years.  Dick Crawford is associated with this organization and would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding their mission.  If you wish to support them, please use your mission envelope during February or donate online under “monthly mission”.

FUNDRAISING DINNER:  Young Life’s annual dinner is scheduled for March 30 at Classics V Banquet Center.  There is no charge for the dinner, but donations to support Young Life are appreciated.  We have tables reserved so we can sit together.  Please sign up on the glass case if you plan to attend.MAY TRIP: Information for our May trip to Kentucky to see the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter is available at both entrances.  See Lacey Bahr (716-525-5134) if you have questions.

LOOKING for any artists or anyone else that likes to paint. Our nativity set is in need of a fresh painting. Please contact Doug Goodnick if you are interested.
