OCTOBER MISSION ENVELOPES go to support our youth traveling to New Orleans in July 2025. Audrey Markel, and Daniel and John Bahr are joining 5 other youth in the area to attend the LCMS Youth Gathering. They are about $9,000 into their fundraising goal. Support them with your prayers and dollars, and talk with them for more information.
THANK YOU to all who donated candy for our Trunk or Treat. And a special “thanks” goes out to those who participated with their cars, those who helped plan, our snack team, and our game leaders and youth. This fun family adventure was much appreciated by our members and neighborhood.
UPCOMING OPPORTUNITY: Because a number of members have asked how they can help, Social Ministries would like to inform you that our November mission envelopes will be designated for HURRICANE AID through our LCMS Disaster Response teams. Our church has numerous teams working in all areas affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Donations may be made through your November mission envelopes or online in November by choosing “monthly mission”.
HARVEST FOOD COLLECTION: Continuing through November 24, we will be accepting donations of non-perishable foods to assist our partner agencies in meeting the needs of our community over the holidays. There are tables set up in the chapel and narthex. We will be helping two agencies this year, including St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry on Military Road, and the Salvation Army. Canned meats (tuna, chicken, ham, etc.) will go to the Salvation Army. All other foods will be delivered to St. Vincent. There is a SHOPPING LIST available on the tables listing the foods that are especially needed, but all donations are appreciated. Please be sure expiration dates are good through at least the end of the year.
TURKEYS & HAMS: We are also accepting donations of hams and frozen turkeys. They will be gifted to Niagara Falls agencies that will be providing free Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for our neighbors in need. They can be stored in our downstairs kitchen freezer. If you need help carrying, please ask an usher for assistance.
CHOIR: The choir will practice in the balcony after worship today. We will be singing during next Sunday’s Reformation service.
