CHURCH OFFICE will be open this week Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am – 2pm and closed on Thursday, November 23rd for Thanksgiving.
TODAY! LOOSE CHANGE SUNDAY: We’re inviting all who wish to participate to “lose” their pocket change (or paper money) onto their pew seats as they leave church after worship today. Our Sunday School students will then search the pews for your donations. The majority of our Sunday School children are too young to have participated the last time we held this event. It will be an exciting and fun opportunity for them to be part of our “Warm Hearts, Warm Toes” fundraiser for the boiler. Please consider supporting their search if you are able. (Next Sunday will be the last day to put a donation in our change jar before it is totaled. Thank you for your generosity.)
CHOIR will have an optional practice in the balcony after worship today for anyone who would like to review our music for Christmas Eve. Next rehearsal will be Wednesday, 12/6, after the Advent service.
CANDY FUNDRAISER: Our youth are selling Fowler’s candy bars after worship as part of our “Warm Hearts, Warm Toes” boiler fundraiser. There are a variety of flavors at a cost of $2 per bar. Because the candy was donated, the entire $2 will go toward the cost of our boiler. They will make great stocking stuffers (or snacks for Santa).
NOVEMBER MISSION ENVELOPES are designated to support Niagara Hospice. Several cherished members of Grace have utilized Niagara Hospice services recently as they awaited God’s call to their heavenly home. Hospice provides specialized care, comfort, and dignity for patients and their families that have a life-limiting diagnosis. They help families maximize quality of life by providing expert symptom management and comprehensive end-of-life guidance. If you would like to support Niagara Hospice, place your mission envelope in the offering plate during November, or donate online by choosing “monthly mission”.
THANK YOU for your generous donations to our Harvest Food Collection for St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and our macaroni and cheese collection for Potter’s Field 99. All donations will be delivered by next weekend to help these agencies feed the hungry over the holidays.
SALES HAVE STARTED! We continue to accept donations of turkeys and hams which can be stored in our downstairs freezer. We deliver these to various agencies, all located in Niagara Falls, that provide free Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for our neighbors in need. If you need help carrying your donation downstairs, please ask an usher.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS–Two weeks from today on December 3, we will decorate our sanctuary for the Advent & Christmas seasons. Help is needed after worship to put up our trees, nativity, banners, and other decorations. Please consider staying to lend a hand.
ADVENT GIVING TREE: Our Giving Trees will be available starting next Sunday in the narthex and chapel. They will be decorated with tags listing items needed by local agencies that work with our neighbors in need. If you would like to participate in this mission, please take a tag from the tree, purchase the item listed, and return it unwrapped to the tree table.
