PLEASE SIGN UP TODAY: Trunk or Treat is only TWO WEEKS AWAY. More volunteers are needed to hand out treats from the trunks of their cars. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 19, from 3 – 4:30 pm in the church parking lot. In the event of rain, we will move inside. There is a sign up sheet on the glass case in the chapel. This is a community event that has been drawing close to 100 children each year. Your help is greatly appreciated!
DONATIONS APPRECIATED: If you are unable to participate in Trunk or Treat with your car, our volunteers also appreciate donations of candy or other treats to pass out to the children. NEXT SUNDAY is the last Sunday before our event. Donations can be left on the tables in the narthex or chapel. Thank you for helping!
OCTOBER MISSION ENVELOPES go to support our youth traveling to New Orleans in July 2025. Audrey Markel, and Daniel and John Bahr are joining 5 other youth in the area to attend the LCMS Youth Gathering. They are about $9,000 into their fundraising goal. Support them with your prayers and dollars, and talk with them for more information.
HARVEST FOOD COLLECTION: Beginning next week and continuing through November 24, we will be accepting donations of non-perishable foods to assist our partner agencies in meeting the needs of our community over the holidays. There will be tables set up in the chapel and narthex. We will be helping two agencies this year, including St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry on Military Road, and the Salvation Army. Canned meats (tuna, chicken, ham, etc.) will go to the Salvation Army. All other foods will be delivered to St. Vincent. There is a SHOPPING LIST available on the tables listing the foods that are especially needed, but all donations are appreciated. Please be sure expiration dates are good through at least the end of the year.
TURKEYS & HAMS: We will be accepting donations of hams and frozen turkeys beginning next week. The will be gifted to Niagara Falls agencies that will be providing free Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for our neighbors in need. They can be stored in our downstairs kitchen freezer. If you need help carrying, please ask an usher for assistance.
The next RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE will be held here at Grace on Saturday, October 19th from 9am-1pm.
